Running : Birds fly, Fish swim, Humans run
Running is one of the most accessible and democratic forms of physical exercise—rooted in rhythm, repetition, and breath. Through installation works, the exhibition visualizes the tempo and flow of running, while presenting artistic interpretations of running as personal record, endurance, and ritual. Works by sculptor Lee Hyung-koo, Berlin-based collective Plastique Fantastique, Swiss installation artist Zimoun, dancer Kim Bora, composer Steve Reich, actor-photographer Ryu Jun-yeol, visual artist Novo, and others expand the meaning of running beyond sport. The exhibition encourages visitors to discover running as a practice of energy and renewal—an invitation to restore balance, strengthen the body, and find rhythm amidst the pace of contemporary life.

Ueda Shoji Theatre of the Dunes
Shoji Ueda (1913–2000), born in Tottori Prefecture, photographed throughout his life landscapes close to home—coastal horizons and sweeping dunes. The exhibition explores Ueda’s visual language, defined by his poetic negotiation between reality and imagination. The beach and desert-like dunes form theatrical stages where ordinary life is transformed into surreal tableau. The exhibition includes major series such as Dunes, Little Biography, The Calendars of Children, later color works from White Wind, and his late fashion assignments—begun at the age of seventy. Rather than aligning with prevailing trends, Ueda developed a distinct photographic vocabulary, conveying visual tension and rhythm through the relationship among figures, time, and space. The exhibition invites visitors to encounter Ueda’s unique perspective and to reflect on how photography can reshape reality, linking imagination with everyday life.
